Landing Bolts

"to land your trick perfectly"

A site-specific show in development, co-created by young people in Cardiff

Landing Bolts is a production in development. Research and Development phase 1 is complete, where a team of ten Welsh Black, Asian and mixed-race creatives worked together, alongside a group of young people, to explore themes, issues and ideas and developed characters for a future production.

Next year we will have R&D 2 focused on developing the script, music and choreography, and 2023 we aim to produce the full-scale production. This site-specific piece will take place in a skatepark and will feature skateboarding, hip-hop dance, live music, fashion, film and spoken word.

The process of co-creation supports young people's power and agency, to create, to connect, to share, to shine. They work collaboratively to produce music, they take to the mic and perform, they skate in synchronicity, they dance, and together they will thrive.
