I've been delighted to curate a digital summer school for 11-15 year olds for Theatre Royal Stratford East. My role entailed building an engaging and diverse programme of activities, bringing in brilliant freelancers to deliver workshops introducing different aspects of theatre making.
Philip Morris delivered Introduction to Acting, Lily Arnold gave an Introduction to Set and Costume Design, Remi Graves helped participants Explore their World through Spoken Word Poetry, Ingrid Mackinnon gave an Introduction to Movement, and I delivered an Introduction to creating Audio Drama.
The week was such a success, with many participants coming back for all of the sessions. As well as hosting live online workshops, I oversaw and edited five pre-recorded filmed workshops for use by schools, teachers and community groups in Newham and surrounding areas.
