I joined Hijinx as a freelance researcher undertaking research into inclusive practice in film and screen work for learning disabled and/or autistic adult actors.
Hijinx is one of Europe’s leading inclusive theatre companies, creating outstanding performances with learning disabled and/or autistic artists on stage and on screen, for Wales and for the world.
My research included interviewing leading practitioners and representatives of key organisations from across the world, and assessing key areas such as casting, writing, creating, rehearsing and shooting.
This research contributed to wider long-term research projects Hijinx are conducting as they develop their practice and disseminate their expert knowledge.
